A pair of DECA members from Allen County-Scottsville High School qualified to advance to the International Career Development Conference after a first place finish at the Kentucky DECA Conference this week in Louisville.

addition to the success of Porter and Richer, eight DECA members from AC-SH also placed in the state’s top 10. Mackenzie Brown and Gabby Corbett earned third place in KY Visual Marketing Display. Tyler Marsh placed fourth in Personal Financial Literacy. Carson Wimpee was fifth in KY Marketing. Joseph Fonseca earned fifth place in KY Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Johna Driver captured sixth place in Professional Selling. Emma Spears finished in seventh place in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism and Katelyn Ausbrooks placed eighth place in Hotel and Lodging Management.
According to their website, DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
