WHAT IS A NON-TRADITIONAL INSTRUCTION DAY? (NTI)

Non-Traditional Instruction days allow for the continuation of learning when school is cancelled due to inclement weather. The Kentucky Department of Education has granted school districts up to ten (10) days on which students may continue learning “off-site” (home, daycare, etc.). On the designated NTI Days, students will have assignments (either online or paper packets) from their daily classes that provide opportunities for review, to apply previous learning, or introduce new topics. All materials will be provided by your child’s teachers and students are expected to return completed work the next day school is in session. Non-Traditional Instruction supports a culture of learning that meets the needs of individual students by using innovative technologies that continue student learning and engagement both within the school walls and beyond.

Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn't completed the work, and provide direct, real-time feedback and grades right in Classroom.
